PS I Love You.

On occasion you get pleasantly surprised by an opening band... and Wednesday evening was one of those nights... I went to see Diamond Rings... a part of Summerworks which is a Toronto indie theatre and arts festival... and if you've never witnessed John O'Regan aka Diamond Rings... he definitely falls into that category... but it was PS I Love You that stole the show... a band from Kingston, Ontario... originally a solo vehicle for multi-instrumentalist Paul Saulnier... and later he added Benjamin Nelson to replace a drum machine... and after bearing witness to endless fuzz and fret tapping that can only be made possible by growing up with a guitar as your best friend... accompany that with a driving drum beat and you have PS I Love You... so try not to think of the Beatles song or a crappy movie with that douche Hilary Swank... think of pure awesomeness... they are currently touring and will be releasing their debut album later this year... until then you can download the track "2012" here.
